A Mansfield Woodhouse school received a bundle of 10 new books for its library to mark World Book Day.

The Morrisons Foundation, in partnership with the National Literacy Trust, made the donation at Nettleworth Infant and Nursery School.

Amanda Hamilton, community champion at Morrisons Mansfield Woodhouse, who is pictured presenting the books to pupils, said: “The challenges of the past couple of years have been difficult for us all, but particularly younger children who not only missed out on school, but also having time with their friends and teachers.

“I hope these stories will give children at Nettleworth Infant and Nursery School some fun as well as helping them find a love of reading.”
