Halloween fun for all the family

Mansfield Library is hosting Creaky Castle with Jane Clarke on Thursday, 31st October – A session of frightful fun and bat making based on her picture book, Creaky Castle, illustrated by Christyan Fox.

Booking is required for the session, which costs £3 for children, accompanying adults free.

In Sherwood Forest at Edwinstowe, a Half Perm Halloween Trail runs from Saturday, 19th October until Sunday, 3rd November, from 10am until 3pm. It costs

£3.50, booking is not required.

A trail of clues to crack along the path through the ancient oak trees of Robin Hood’s forest invite youngsters to study each puzzle along the way to work out the answers, and then the culprit’s identify will be revealed! Head back to the Visitor Centre for clever clogs points and a well-earned reward.

There is also a fun size Halloween Trail at Rufford Country Park during the same period.

Perfect for little ghouls and ghosts, this trail promises eerie surprises around every corner.
