What’s in a name?

The construction of new homes at a Taylor Wimpey development in Rainworth has the site manager’s name written all over it — literally.

The housebuilder’s Coupe Gardens development has been named after its award-winning Paul Coupe (also known as Buck), whose family has been well-known in the Rainworth area for many years.

Paul has worked for Taylor Wimpey for 20 years, starting as a forklift driver, and during his career has won six NHBC (National House-Building Council) Pride in the Job Awards, 12 customer care awards and one regional award.

Paul said: “I was born and bred in Rainworth and still live here. Many members of my family, including my brothers, also work for Taylor Wimpey and due to the fact that I was one of 11 children, the name Coupe is rather synonymous with the village.”

Lucie Grundy, regional sales manager for Taylor Wimpey, said: “Paul’s local connections, loyalty to Taylor Wimpey and dedication to his job meant his name was the ideal choice for the development, which is already proving popular with buyers.”
