More Community Leisure Trust has announced the reopening of Water Meadows Leisure Complex, Mansfield, following completion of a district council-backed investment project of almost £2m.
The complex’s transformation includes the reopening of the Pirate Pool, featuring flumes and a wave machine, and a new 17-station Climbing Zone. A new café will be opening.
A ribbon-cutting event was staged on Saturday, attended by mayor, Andy Abraham, portfolio holder for Environment and Leisure, Coun Andy Burgin, and local swim star Ollie Hynd.
For the Pirate Pool and Climbing Zone, pre-booking in advance via the Water Meadows website is required.
