A former regular event on the Ravenshead calendar returned for the first time sice 2019.
The Ravenshead Inner Wheel and Ravenshead and Blidworth Rotary Walk In The Woods was held on a warm October day.
Most walkers followed a 4.5-mile route into Harlow Woods from Ravens Lodge, enjoying refreshments at Portland College café before returning to Ravens Lodge for a soup and apple pie lunch.
There was also a shorter route of around 3.5 miles, and the Ravenshead Community Bus was available at Portland to transport those who wished back for their lunch.
Rotary club president Mike Kings said: “The walk was, until 2019, a regular village event, and we were pleased to put this back on to the village calendar.
“The day was a great success and the funds raised will be used by Inner Wheel and Rotary for the support of local charities and good causes.
“Thank you to all who supported us. Watch out for next year’s date on these pages.”
Ravenshead Inner Wheel President Kathy Kings thanked all who supported the club’s participation in Walk In The Woods, adding: “Hopefully we will bring it back again next year.”
