Are you passionate about books? Do you want to make a meaningful impact on a child’s life?

If so, the charity Literacy Volunteers is looking for enthusiastic, committed volunteers to help children discover the joy of reading.

Volunteers work one-to-one with primary school children to improve their reading skills, foster a love of books through engaging stories and activities, and support children in school by creating a nurturing, literacy-rich environment.

No prior experience is necessary, just a love for reading and a desire to inspire young minds. Training is provided. An enhanced DBS check with checks on barring lists and safer recruitment vetting checks are required for all volunteers based in school.
