Volunteers wanted for Robin Hood Festival

Would you like to join Robin Hood and his band of Merry Men? People interested in taking part as a volunteer for the annual Robin Hood Festival should get in touch with Nottinghamshire County Council.

Robin Hood will resume his battle with archenemy the Sheriff of Nottingham at historic Sherwood Forest as Nottinghamshire County Council hosts the 31st annual Robin Hood Festival at Sherwood Forest Country Park, Edwinstowe, from August 3 to 9.

Would-be volunteers should contact Sue McDonald, Community Liaison Officer, on 0115 9753782 or email [email protected] no later than by Monday, July 20.

The annual festival is a week-long celebration of medieval mayhem and merriment with jousting and falconry displays on selected days and street entertainers transporting people back to medieval times. Other activities including the open air theatre performances and archery sessions.

The exact details of each day’s events will be released closer to the time. The event is free but there is a charge of £5 for car parking.
