Vintage fairies in demand for hospice

Posted onPosted on 12th Oct

Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice is stocking its eBay site in the run-up to Christmas and asking people in Mansfield and North Nottinghamshire to donate vintage festive fairies and any other decorations that might otherwise gather dust in a loft.

With ornate fairies fetching £25 to £30 each on eBay, the children’s hospice that supports children and young adults in North Nottinghamshire with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions is on the hunt for items to sell.

All goods donated will be sold either on eBay or at one of Bluebell Wood’s nine shops around the region.

Sue Brown, eBay sales administrator, Bluebell Wood, said: “Giving your unwanted vintage decorations to Bluebell Wood is an all-round winner. It helps people to de-clutter, raises money for a valuable cause and gives these decorations another lease of life in a new home over the festive season.

“If you’re thinking about where to shop for Christmas, Bluebell Wood’s ebay store is a treasure trove. From gift ideas to quirky retro items to vintage sporting books, there’s a good chance we will have just the thing you’re looking for.

“Last year we made well over £7,000 in the run up to Christmas and we’d love to do even better this time, to help our families make special memories together, both at our hospice and in their own homes.”

Take festive decorations, clothes, toys or any other items to any Bluebell Wood shop. There is also a clothing and bric-a-brac donation station at the hospice on Cramfit Road, North Anston.
