Mansfield’s Palace Theatre is hosting a couple of children’s favourite shows in July.
Celebrating its 15th Birthday, the smash-hit In the Night Garden Live will be on the Palace stage on Wednesday 24th and Thursday, 25th July as its characters are brought to life for a special story Igglepiggle’s Busy Day.
Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy, Makka Pakka and friends will feature as full-size characters or magical puppets with music and dancing.
The show will also feature the amazing flying Pinky Ponk, which soars over the heads of In the Night Garden Live audiences – the first time an effect like this has been used in theatres anywhere in the UK. The Pinky Ponk uses cutting-edge, patented aerodynamic technology pioneered by the specialist German company, Airstage, which have designed and built similar Air Orbs all over the world.
Direct from the West End, the Olivier Award nominated smash hit show, The Tiger Who Came to Tea returns to Mansfield Palace Theatre on Tuesday 30th and Wednesday, 31st July.
The doorbell rings just as Sophie and her mummy are sitting down to tea. Who could it possibly be? What they certainly don’t expect to see at the door is a big, stripy tiger!
The Tiger Who Came To Tea Theatre show closely follows the well known and loved story in the children’s book by Judith Kerr, with a few extras thrown in to make it fun, interactive and with songs that everyone can join in with. The running time is 55 minutes with no interval.
Tickets for both shows can be bought from the Box Office, either in person or call 01623 463133, or online at mansfieldpalace.co.uk
