A second star name has joined the line-up at a sporting dinner in Mansfield.
Award-winning comedian Rod Woodward will entertain the audience at the Armchair Club event at Portland College on Thursday, 5th October.
Former Olympic and world champion swimmer-turned-TV-celebrity Mark Foster is to be the guest speaker at the dinner, which will raise money to support local sportsmen and women and sporting clubs.
A few weeks after speaking at the Armchair Club dinner in October 2014, Rod performed at the Royal Variety show and was a sensation.
Foster became the most-decorated male British swimmer, winning 51 major international medals, and went to five Olympics.
Since then he has been a regular on TV shows such as Strictly Come Dancing.
Since it was formed in 1982 by local business people, the Armchair Club has donated more than £200,000.
The dinner will be held at Portland College on Thursday, 5th October, at 7pm. To buy a ticket, priced £35, call Chloe on Mansfield 706410
