Mansfield-based TIS, one of the UK’s leading fire, security and communications specialists, has announced that it has adopted the charity, Headway Nottingham as its designated charity for the next 12 months.

Total Integrated Solutions (TIS), which is based on Oakham Business Park in Mansfield, will now dedicate its fundraising efforts to Headway Nottingham, part of a UK-wide charity that works to improve life after brain injury.

Headway was established more than 35 years ago by a small group of families and since then has grown into a national charity with more than 125 groups and branches active across the United Kingdom, along with 28 charity shops, a national helpline and an emergency fund.

The charity provides services, support and information to brain injury survivors, their families and carers, as well as professionals in the health and legal fields.

Staff at TIS’s Mansfield headquarters raised more than £9,000 for the company’s 2015 charity partners, PASIC (Parents Association for Seriously Ill Children) through a number of events, including swimathons, treks and a number of other challenges.

The company’s active charity team also supported a number of other charities throughout the year, from Comic Relief to local food banks.

Commenting on the new partnership, Amy Chambers, part of the TIS charity team, said:
“Here at TIS we have set up a dedicated charity team to ensure we are constantly giving back to charities that are both local to us and close to our hearts.

We are really looking forward to working with Headway this year. “It’s a fantastic charity that does wonderful work for brain injury sufferers and their families – we can’t wait to start raising money for the cause.”

TIS employs around 140 staff at its Mansfield headquarters and also operates offices in Birmingham and Nottingham.
