Thousands of thanks to golfers from hospice

Posted onPosted on 25th Apr

Coxmoor Golf Club has presented £19,851.15 to the John Eastwood Hospice in memory of its former lady captain, Sue Colley.

A spokesperson for the hospice said the money would make a real difference to the patients and families it supports.

The hospice was chosen as the Sutton golf club’s charity of the year for 2024-2025 by Sue and captain Dave Kiely.

Sadly, Sue later became unwell and died in the care of the Sutton hospice. A plant and dedication plaque that remember her can be seen in the background of the photo.

The hospice spokesperson added: “We extend our deepest thanks to Dave, lady captain Heather Ollerenshaw, and all the members of Coxmoor Golf Club for their incredible fundraising efforts in Sue’s memory.”
