Generous Skegby couple Sharon and John Cooper took their charity fundraising since 2015 to more than £9,000 after hosting their 21st Party In The Garden for the Amazon Breast Cancer Support Group.

A total of £520 was raised on the night for the charity, which works to benefit breast cancer patients at King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton.

The event included a raffle, quiz, and hot and cold food.

Sharon thanked people who donated prizes — Jane, Don, Sylv, Pauline, Deb, Geoff, Beryl, Angie, Ann and Harold — and helpers, John, Jacob, Stacey, Michele, Lee, Alan and Phil.

Amazon chairperson Beryl Perrin, pictured (left) with the couple, thanked the Coopers for their generosity and those who supported the party.
