Mansfield District Council has paid out more than £8,660,000 in coronavirus business grants.

A spokesman said: “Our team has been working hard to process grant applications as quickly as possible and supported this by continuing to work over the bank holiday weekend.

“We’ve paid out 656 small business grants totalling £6,560,000 and 108 retail grants totalling £2,100,000.

“If you receive Small Business Rate Relief or Rural Rate Relief, apply for your £10,000 grant online today at www.mansfield.gov.uk/coronavirus/business.

“Please complete the form as accurately as possible to avoid any unnecessary delays.

“Once existing applications received by the council have been paid, we will look to contact eligible businesses that have not yet applied.

“Thank you for patience and continued support.”
