Young people interested in an Army career should visit Mansfield town centre this week to meet soldiers from The Rifles who are in town as part of the regiment’s recruitment drive.
Nine soldiers originally from Mansfield and surrounding areas have returned home to speak to members of the public including potential recruits about what life is like in the Regiment and the wider Army.
Anyone who would like to find out more about the regiment can visit their recruiting stands located in Regent Street and Beales.
Captain Gaz Case who is originally from Mansfield and has organised the event, said: “Its great to be back in Mansfield. All the soldiers enjoy getting out and about at events like this to speak to people about what we do and who we are, especially when its in our home town.”
The Rifles has five Regular Battalions and two Reserve Battalions and is the largest infantry Regiment in the British Army.
