THE manager of the Tesco Extra phone store on Chesterfield Road South in Mansfield is a member of a band that has launched a charity single.

Frontman Bryan Garner and fellow Tesco telecoms workers Ryan Wilson and Dave Price are raising money for Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation through the Tesco Charity Partnership.

Their band, Atlas, has recorded covers of Elton John’s Your Song band Robbie Williams’ Let Me Entertain You.

To celebrate the launch of the single, a fun day will be held at the store in March and Mansfield Town FC players wore shirts promoting the record.

After contacting celebrities for support, the band has also been backed by Hollywood actor John Schneider, who starred in The Dukes Of Hazard and Smallville.
