A total of £6,081 was raised at the fourth Charity Swimathon, organised by Mansfield Rotary and The Armchair Club.
Held at the Water Meadows Swimming and Fitness Complex, Mansfield, it saw swimmers — individuals and teams from local businesses, charities, and groups — complete lengths in a time slot.
Half of the money raised by each team of up to six went to their chosen cause — an organisation or charity — with the remaining 50% being shared by Mansfield Rotary’s Benevolent Fund and The Armchair Club Sports Foundation Trust.
Pictured is Mansfield Rotary president Karen Johnson with members of Sutton Swimming Club, whose team raised a total of £1,897 and was among the award winners.
Awards for those taking part went to:
Liam Hill — Intermediate Individual Most Lengths.
Jack Hill — Junior Individual Most Lengths.
David Swales — Senior Individual Most Lengths.
Sutton Swimming Club — Intermediate Team Most Sponsorship, and Organisation Special Award.
