Fourteen students and two leaders on a National Citizen Service (NCS) course, based at West Notts College, Mansfield, are holding a series of sporting fundraisers to raise money for two charities — The Hall Homeless Support Project, Mansfield, and PACE (Project for Advocacy, Counselling and Education), a mental health charity specialising in LGBT and young people.
The fundraisers — the leaders are aged 17 and 19 and the group members are aged 16 and 17 — are staging four six-hour sport sessions, including Just Dance, dodgeball, volleyball and basketball, at the college from Monday to Thursday next week, from 9am-3pm.
