Students from Sutton Community Academy have unveiled their artwork at Idlewells Indoor Market.
A-Level photography students were given the opportunity to produce community artwork for display in the Indoor Market in a project funded by Ashfield District Council.
Their brief was to create a piece of artwork that reflected the varied customers and traders of the market.
The photographs were coloured in a pop art style, then printed on to acrylic blocks and mounted on to the wall of the Market Street entrance.
Coun Jason Zadrozny, council leader, pictured with students, said: “We are proud to support this fantastic project that showcases the talent of the young people of Ashfield.
“Their artwork is a wonderful representation of the new market; it is fresh and vibrant, which reflects the colourful traders and their products.”
“The community art adds the personal touch to the market, which has been transformed since a refurbishment.”
