A new community stone artwork is to be unveiled in Yeoman Hill Park, Mansfield Woodhouse, Summer Event on 20th June.
The work, the subject of a public discussion at last year’s Summer Event, has been created by artist Alasdair Barton and is made from Mansfield Woodhouse stone.
The artwork funded by Nottinghamshire County Council, Mansfield District Council and Friends of Yeoman Hill Park.
The St Edmund’s Drum and Bugle Corps will march participants in the ribbon-cutting ceremony from the main performance area, in front of the 193os art deco bandstand. to the artwork, near the vehicular entrance to the park.
There will be a brief speech by Coun Joyce Bosnjak to open the artwork. The band will then march back to the main area of the Summer Event.
