There is still time to enter the Mansfield Music and Drama Festival after the deadline was extended into February.
One of the organisers, Ann Jones, said: “Does your child enjoy saying a poem, reading or singing? If so, the festival would like them to enter.
“For those in primary and junior education, a syllabus has been particularly written for them.
Or are you a senior citizen who likes telling stories or performing? We have special classes for those who enjoy writing poetry, or performing a poem, reading or singing.
“Do look at our syllabus. You can perform as an individual or as part of a group.
“Or are you a teacher in a senior school? We have classes for those taking drama at GCSE or A-Level. Do look at our senior and adult syllabus. You will find some interesting and useful classes that young people can enter.
“Classes can be entered as a competitor or non-competitive.
“An international adjudicator gives each entrant a written report as well as offering ideas and advice to help develop their skills.
“We are a friendly and helpful festival, and we encourage and support all those taking part.
