Mansfield Town signed two experienced players, both League Two promotion winners, on transfer deadline day as manager Steve Evans strengthened his squad ahead of the push for promotion play-offs.
He brought in winger Alex MacDonald from Oxford United and midfielder Alfie Potter from Northampton Town.
MacDonald, who made 30 appearances this season, joined on a free transfer. He won promotion from League Two with Oxford and Burton.
Potter was released by Northampton Town, where he won a League Two winners’ medal last year.
The two signings took the total number of new faces at the Stags in January to eight.
