Stage show set to light up Mansfield

This year’s stage show at the Mansfield Christmas Light Switch On is set to be bigger and better with a line-up of special guests, music and fireworks on Sunday, 15th November.

Hosted by Mansfield 103.2, the show kicks off at 3pm in the Market Place with party fun, games and prizes to get you into the Christmas spirit.

The main event follows with local singer Ashley Rebanks, who will be wowing the crowds with a selection of Michael Bublé and Rat Pack hits.

Stars from the Palace Theatre’s Aladdin pantomime will then warm up the crowd in time for local Slade tribute act Feel the Noize, who will be rocking their way through a selection of glam-rock and Christmas favourites.

Younger members of the audience will be also be thrilled to see Paddington making appearances throughout the show.

As the evening heads towards the final countdown at 5pm, Santa will be making an appearance, joined by one lucky child, the winner of Mansfield 103.2’s charity auction VIP prize, who will be switching on the Christmas lights and setting off a spectacular firework display.

Executive Mayor at Mansfield District Council, Kate Allsop said: “This year’s Big Switch On stage show is guaranteed to light up a lot of faces, as we launch Mansfield’s countdown to Christmas.

“Bring your family and friends down to enjoy this fun-filled afternoon, which will be packed with entertainment, music and special guests in the lead-up to the Christmas light switch-on and a dazzling firework display. Whatever your age, this is something not to be missed.”

A disabled viewing area for wheelchair users will be available at the main stage show. To book a place, call 01623 463376.
