Specsavers stores back Oxygen for India plea

Staff at Specsavers, Sutton and Mansfield, donated £1,500 to help ensure vital oxygen supplies are available to those who need it in India during the coronavirus crisis.

The local teams joined Specsavers stores throughout the UK, which have rallied together as a response to the ongoing Covid crisis and to show support for the Oxygen for India appeal.

In total, Specsavers has raised more than £230,000.

Imogen Hoyle, store director at Specsavers Mansfield, said: “We felt moved by the shocking news reports from India and wanted to do what we could to help save lives.”

Nigel Davidson, store director at Specsavers Sutton, pictured with Lisa Carlin, senior department manager, and  Liam Foster, call centre manager, added: ‘Staff and their families have had their lives touched by the pandemic and our store’s donation was an opportunity to help and provide support to the global community.”
