As part of the Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland (SIGBI) centenary celebration, SI Mansfield and District is taking part in tree planting initiatives.

Members planted fruit trees and shrubs at Portland College, Mansfield, and nearby Harlow Academy with the help of members, families, staff and learners.

The events have been entered into a Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland tree planting map to celebrate a ‘bright past and a brilliant future’.

The Mansfield club said: “It was a fun and healthy experience for our members, staff and learners. The community came together in enhancing the environment of Mansfield and district.
