Show your love for local market

Posted onPosted on 1st May

Mansfield Market will be celebrating this year’s Love Your Local Market campaign with a fortnight of fun and activities aimed at all the family.

The entertainment, which takes place from Wednesday 13 May through to Wednesday 27 May, will include a circus skills workshop, a multi-sports challenge, free face painting, a performance by The Ghost Performance Academy and a special visit from some furry friends from White Post Farm.

Throughout the fortnight, you will be able to pick up an activity sheet, which includes competitions for all ages, plus the chance to win a £20 voucher to spend on the market.

Children will also be given the chance to design their own market stalls in a great competition, in which entrants will see their pictures displayed at Mansfield Museum and Mansfield bus station. The winning design will receive a goody bag.

Free re-usable fabric shopping bags will be handed out throughout the fortnight (subject to availability) and market traders will be donating raffle prizes and sponsoring bays at the bus station to raise money for charity.

As part of the campaign, Mansfield District Council is offering great incentives for both new and existing traders, including £5 off per stall for one of the weeks for current traders.

New traders will also receive this offer in addition to the existing incentive, which allows new traders one week of free trading each month for the first four months.

Dates for your diary during Love Your Local Market:
