Sixteen local school choirs will bring the true spirit of the festive season to King’s Mill Hospital with a series of special Christmas carol concerts this December.
Almost 500 pupils aged between 6 and 18, will raise the roof when they perform a selection of traditional Christmas carols in the hospital’s main entrance area.
The choirs have been entertaining and lifting the spirits of patients, visitors and staff for the past seven years, and Trust Chairman Sean Lyons is delighted to welcome them back. He said: “The choirs really get everyone into a festive mood and they are a great way to start off our Christmas activities.
“This is a wonderful tradition and we all thoroughly enjoy their performances. Listening to the children sing is a real tonic for our patients, as well as their relatives and our staff.”
