The Academy Transformation Trust Further Education College, which has campuses at Sutton and Ollerton, joined in the nation by sending its own birthday wish to fundraising hero Captain Tom Moore (now a colonel).

The pensioner has raised millions of pounds for the NHS through his walking achievements ahead of his 100th birthday on Thursday.

The trust sent him a virtual birthday message and Jack Barrett-Myler, the son of the college’s head of learner experience, also designed a card that was posted to the Army veteran, who was made a colonel on his birthday.
