Samworth Church Academy hosted its first Round Square regional conference at The Outward Bound Centre, Aberdovey, Wales.

Round Square is a network of 150 innovative schools in 40 countries. They have a shared approach to learning built around six ideals based on the Outward Bound theories of education philosopher Kurt Hahn.

Ninety one students from Samworth joined students from eight schools from five countries in the weekend of events.

They took part in gorge walking, caving, jetty jumping, canoeing and sea-kayaking, and heard from extreme adventurer and champion sea-kayaker Fiona Whitehead.
