Warsop, Shirebrook and District Rotary is expanding its community links with the launch of a new group – and is urging people to take part in a forthcoming open evening.

Friends of Warsop and Shirebrook Rotary will be a group of like-minded individuals, businesses, schools, local charities, and community groups.

It will work with Rotary through projects, events, and direct action in support of local communities.

Rotarians said as well as describing some of the projects and events that Rotary is already undertaking, the main purpose of the evening is to understand the needs of the local communities and identify how Rotary and its supporters can all work together for the benefit of those communities.

The open evening will take place at the John Fretwell Sporting Complex, Sookholme, on Thursday, 9th June, from 7pm to 9pm. Everyone is welcome and there will be light refreshments.

The meeting and new Friends group aim to develop ideas and projects together, work to protect the environment, raise funds for communities, and promote business links and networks.
