Ravenshead and Blidworth Rotary members helped victims of the Morocco floods and Libya earthquake disasters by organising collections at the Ravenshead Precinct shopping area and Ravenshead Farm Shop (pictured), meaning more than £400 was donated.
Sending donations to these two areas is not easy, particularly to ensure the support gets to those who need it.
Fortunately, Rotary is a global organisation and has clubs and members in Morocco, where a fund is being established for long-term sustainable projects, working with Rotary clubs and their volunteers in the affected areas.
In Libya, Rotary-supported organisations such as Shelterbox are delivering water filtering solutions into the affected area.
