Ravenshead and Blidworth Rotary Club has continued its support for the two foodbanks within its catchment area — one in Rainworth through the Social Action Hub and the other through Sherwood Forest Community Church, Blidworth.

In May it provided each with a donation of £100 of Tesco credit vouchers to be spent on food at any Tesco store.

Richard Lord, president of the Rotary Club, said: “We have been supported over several years by Tesco at Oak Tree Lane and our thanks go to them for the donation and to Casey Barson, who has been our liaison at the store.

“Ravenshead and Blidworth Rotary have supported our two foodbanks with nearly £2,000 of funding since last December. It is a genuine pleasure for us to be directly involved with our local communities. Why not consider joining us?
