Rising pianist and ex-Cantamus singers in concert

Internationally famous pianist Julian Clef, who has been supported by the generosity of Mansfield people during his studies, is to perform a concert at the Queen Elizabeth Academy, Mansfield, with former principal soloists with Mansfield’s world-famous choir Cantamus – soprano Laura Roberts and mezzo-soprano Olivia Caputa.

Julian has played in Buckingham Palace and the Royal Festival Hall, as well as in Norway, Germany and Canada. He has been chosen to give recitals presented by Sir Andras Schiff later this year in Berlin, Frankfurt and New
York.

Laura and Olivia are now studying at the Royal Academy of Music, London. Laura won the Carlton Male Voice Choir’s Music Makers’ Award, and Olivia the John Ogdon Scholarship recently.
