The northern lights, nature, and a child at play were winning images in the Discover Ashfield Photography Competition.
Ashfield residents were asked to capture images from around the district in three categories for the annual event.
Winners were Tracy Hancock with Reach for the Skies (below right) in the Active Ashfield section, Tony Booth with Aurora over Sherwood Observatory (top) in the Made in Ashfield section, and Kayleigh Schofield with Nature (below right) in the under-16s section. They will each receive a £50 Love to Shop voucher and a £50 voucher to spend at local leisure centres.
Louise Knott, vice-chair of Discover Ashfield Board, said: “Each year we get to see different perspectives of residents in Ashfield and how they interpret the categories. It is always difficult because we receive so many wonderful photos. Thank you to everyone who entered and congratulations to the winners.”
Coun Chris Huskinson, Ashfield District Council’s executive lead for Leisure, Health and Wellbeing, added: “Thank you to everyone who shared their fantastic photographs with us this year.
“We had fantastic pictures, showing Ashfield in some artistic and unique lights.”
