Raising money for children’s hospice at panto

Posted onPosted on 10th Oct

Fundraisers will be collecting for the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice at this year’s panto, Jack And The Beanstalk, at the Palace Theatre, Mansfield.

Last year a total of £4,982 was raised after the performances of the panto at the theatre for the hospice.

This will be the seventh year that Mansfield fundraisers have collected for the hospice bear Sheffield.

Jack And The Beanstalk, which stars Mark Little, Adam Moss and Rebecca Wheatley, will run from 2nd December until 7 January.

Andrew Tucker, cultural services manager at the theatre, said: “We are very proud of this partnership and hope panto goers will dig deep to help families across this area facing the toughest of times.

“Mansfield Palace Theatre is somewhere families come to relax, laugh and have fun together, and we know Bluebell Wood does the same for the families it cares for. We are delighted to support this valuable cause again this year.”

Melanie Rose, community fundraiser, Bluebell Wood, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to Mansfield Palace Theatre and our fantastic Mansfield group for all their support over the last six years.

“Panto-goers have been brilliant donating their spare change to help our families make special memories together, whether they’re making music, arts and crafts, enjoying a movie in our cinema room or receiving end of life treatment and care.”
