Mansfield-based charity the Nottinghamshire Community Foundation (NCF), which has been awarding grants and funding to community and voluntary groups for 18 years, is raising awareness of its work.
It has given more than £25m to over 2,000 projects across Nottinghamshire.
A spokesman said: “Many people feel that donating to national charities does not benefit their local community, leading more wanting to give locally.
“At NCF, we only award grants to projects in Nottinghamshire, from funds that we manage on behalf of local donors — families, companies and Trusts.
“At NCF, we guarantee that donations will be spent exactly where people want them to be spent.”
Trustees of charities or trusts can contact NCF for a free consultation. It can also help those setting up a new charity or you wanting to set up a charity fund in a company or family name.
