Children of The Flying High Academy, Mansfield — both at home with their family members, and at school — commemorated the 75th anniversary of VE Day.

Teacher and history lead Elliott Dudley said: “Children took part by organising picnics with their family to replicate a street party, and looked at Morse code for their learning and the importance of keeping wartime messages secret.

“The children also took part in art activities to create a portrait of a World War II soldier.”
