A club for retired men is appealing for new members.

Mansfield Men’s Probus Club meets monthly at the Oakham Suite, Mansfield, when there is a guest speaker and lunch.

At the November meeting 34 members enjoyed a meal and a talk by speaker Andy Parks, a club member, about his life in the Merchant Navy, starting at 16 as an apprentice on cargo vessels and ending his career as master of a luxury cruise liner.
