After working together over the past 18 months, Forest Town Primary School has officially joined Nova Education Trust.
Leading the change is new headteacher Vanessa Farr, who previously led Birklands Primary School, Warsop, which is also part of the trust,
“I am incredibly excited to join the Forest Town Primary School community,” she said.
“I look forward to working closely with the dedicated staff, enthusiastic students, and supportive parents to build upon the existing strengths of the school and create an outstanding learning environment for all.”
The partnership will further strengthen the educational pathway for Forest Town Primary School students, who will now benefit from improved connections with The Garibaldi School, a secondary school within the trust family.
The trust is a network of soon-to-be 17 academies, serving almost 12,000 students. A total of 96 per cent of its academies are rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted, an improvement from the 47 per cent that were not prior to joining the trust.
Since 2019, the trust has also had a long-term support partnership with the Madani Schools Federation in Leicester, working with its two secondary schools.
More than 10 years ago a successful School-Centred Initial Teacher Training Centre was set up by Nova.
“We are thrilled to welcome Forest Town Primary School into our Nova family,” said Ash Rahman, chief executive of the trust.
“The school’s values and commitment to providing a high-quality education perfectly align with our own.
“We are confident that, together with the dedicated staff, enthusiastic parents, and eager-to-learn students, we can achieve even greater success for the children and the wider community.”
