The Evolve Trust – which runs three academies in Mansfield and Mansfield Woodhouse – is celebrating a top award for its chief executive.

Claire-Marie Cuthbert won the Lead5050 Teacher/Academic Director Award 2020 at a virtual presentation.

Lead 5050 is a global professional network with a social purpose – to help raise women into positions of leadership so that they are leading the way, 50/50. Lead 5050 focuses on working stronger together with the belief in the positive impact of women in business – the importance of women and men working together towards gender equality which makes us stronger.

The Evolve Trust runs The Beech Academy, The Bramble Academy and The Brunts Academy.

Claire said: “There are some amazing women here this evening, you are just absolutely incredible. It’s an incredibly difficult time out there at the moment and you’re just doing an amazing job and genuinely.

“It’s not very often that I’m lost for words, but I’m really, really humbled.

“I am absolutely thrilled and honoured to receive such a prestigious accolade as this when there are so many inspirational women in the country. This award belongs to all of those women who make such a remarkable mark on their organisations.”

The award was presented by Ruth Fenton, 2019 winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award, who said: “Claire has improved the lives and education of students now receiving a higher-quality education due to her influence.

“A mentor and champion for women leadership, recognising the need for alternative leadership, Claire supports and inspires her fellow female peers into leadership roles.”
