More than 80 members and friends from neighbouring clubs celebrated the Inner Wheel Club of Kirkby’s 72nd Charter Lunch at the Hostess Restaurant, Sookholme, hosted by president Barbara Williams.

Brett Wales, a musician specialising in keyboard and electronic music, provided entertainment.

The Singh and Tunstall family hosted a Diwali celebration with traditional, homecooked food and a raffle, raising money for the president’s adopted charity, Scotty’s Little Soldiers, and the movement’s International Fund.

Inner Wheel members helped with the Royal British Legion Poppy collection stall at Aldi, Kirkby.

Barbara laid a wreath at the Kirkby Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday.

Inner Wheel member Audrey Halfpenny crocheted a Post Box topper, featuring poppies and a cross, that was fitted on to a box on Wheatley Avenue.
