Fitness students got in the saddle to make an early start on West Nottinghamshire College’s Children in Need fundraising.
More than 30 personal training and gym instructor students took to the stationary bikes at Mansfield’s Oasis gym to pedal the equivalent of 74 miles – the distance between Mansfield and Skegness.
Students cycled in a relay fashion to split the distance between them. The challenge was completed in under four hours.
Programme area leader for sport Lindsey Wilson said: “We’re well on the way to reaching our £100 target and students have been so enthusiastic with their efforts today at the gym. I’m very proud of their teamwork and dedication to raising funds for this national charity.”
