The annual festive family panto is returning to Mansfield Palace Theatre after a year’s absence because of the pandemic.
Sleeping Beauty opens on Saturday, 27th November and runs to Sunday, 2nd January.
Following in the footsteps of a record-breaking run in 2014, two of the cast favourites from that show are returning — Amy Thompson, Channel 5 Milkshake presenter, who will reprise her role as Princess Briar Rose, and comic actor Adam Moss, playing Silly Billy.
Amy and Adam will be joined by another returning cast member, but from a different year, as Rebecca Wheatley will play the Good Fairy.
Rebecca is known for her days on BBC’s Casualty, and played the Vegetable Fairy in Jack And The Beanstalk at the theatre in 2017.
Adam, a popular face at the Palace panto, said: “All I can say is let the mayhem begin. I really missed you guys last year so I’ve got to make up for lost time.”
Amy added: “The thing with theatre is that you give that bit more energy — and you certainly get it back in Mansfield. I can’t wait to come back.”
Tickets are available at mansfieldpalace.co.uk or call the Box Office on 01623 633133 or call in person to the theatre on Leeming Street.
