Posters have been produced to ensure a safe and happy Halloween for all in Mansfield district.
Residents who do not want trick-or-treaters knocking at their door can display Mansfield District Council’s poster in their windows to ask youngsters not to call.
A copy of the poster is available to download and print from www.mansfield.gov.uk/notrickortreating
A limited number of posters are available from the Civic Centre reception on Chesterfield Road South, Mansfield. Neighbourhood Wardens will also have some copies.
Cllr Mick Barton, Portfolio Holder for Public Protection at Mansfield District Council, said: “Mansfield District Council is all for youngsters having fun at Halloween.
“We are, though, aware that some of our residents, particularly those who are elderly or vulnerable, can find trick-or-treating intimidating.
“That is why we have produced a poster for residents who do not wish to have callers this Halloween, and I would ask all trick-or-treaters to respect this.”
Wardens will be patrolling the entire district on Halloween night. To report anti-social behaviour please call Mansfield District Council’s Neighbourhood Wardens on 01623 463185 during office hours, 01623 460144 outside office hours or the Police on 101.
