The Samworth Church Academy in Mansfield has appointed Lisa McVeigh as its new principal.

Chairman of governors Nick Linney said: “Lisa has been through an exceptional interview process and come through to a very strong short list of three.

“The final stage was very close and I am delighted to say the decision to appoint Lisa was unanimous. The governors and sponsors are eagerly looking forward to an exciting and successful future.”
