Mum2mum Markets are coming to Ashfield School on 29th September.

The Nottingham branch of the franchise first seen on BBC2’s Dragons Den last year, has seen hundreds of parents shop for quality second-hand baby and children’s goods, clothes, toys, designer prams and nursery equipment.

Mum2mum Market is said to be recycling at its best as it provides local parents with the opportunity to book a stall to sell on their outgrown baby and children’s goods to other parents and recoup some of the cost.

The markets were started by Wimbledon mum of two Cath Harrop in 2011 and scooped the Best New Business Award at the Merton Business Awards in 2012.

Following the TV appearance by Cath in 2016, Nottingham mum Lindsey Dudley decided it was a perfect opportunity to bring the award-winning markets to the local area.

Cath says: “Mum2mum market is so popular because we make it really easy for parents to recycle their outgrown children’s goods.

“In today’s economic climate and with the rising costs of parenting family budgets need to stretch that little bit further. With mum2mum market every one’s a winner.

“Buyers can source great quality second-hand goods at a fraction of the high street price and sellers keep 100% of their profits. Our top seller mum made £550 selling at a mum2mum market.”

Nottingham mum and event organiser Lindsey Dudley says: “We began holding sales at a small church venue in Nottingham and have been blown away with the response to our events. We’ve welcomed hundreds of buyers on each sale day, and have sold out of all stalls at each event, with many repeat sellers and a waiting list for stalls.

“We quickly outgrew our original venues and have buyers travelling from all over the East Midlands region to bag the best bargains. I’m so excited to finally be able to bring our events to Ashfield after finding the perfect venue at The Ashfield School, Kirkby.

“It means we can offer more great events to other communities and help parents save a fortune at such an expensive time.”

The first Ashfield event is on 29th September at The Ashfield School, Sutton Road, Kirkby, NG17 8HP, from 11am-1pm.

Admission is £2 on the door, children admitted free, with free admission for the last half hour. There are also 241 admission available on the website.
