Mansfield and Warsop MP Ben Bradley visited schools to deliver certificates and prizes in his Christmas card design competition.

As well as selecting an overall winner and a runner-up, Ben also chose a winner from each class that took part, presenting pupils with a certificate and Christmas-themed chocolate.

The winning entry was designed by Eva (above left), of Berry Hill Primary School, Mansfield. Her design went on to the front of Ben’s 2023 Christmas card and was delivered to hundreds of people around the area, as well as Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

Runner-up Isla (above), of Sherwood Junior School, Warsop, saw her design feature on the back of the card.

Ben thanked teachers and staff who facilitated this year’s competition in their schools, and the children for their amazing efforts.

He added: “I went on a tour of primary schools, handing out prizes. What a wonderful way to spend the morning.”

“A massive well done to Eva, who did a brilliant job with a unique card that I thought was really interesting, and won the competition. Also a big well done to runner-up Isla.

“A huge thank-you to everyone who took part around the district. Hundreds of children got involved.”
