Families and individuals throughout Mansfield and Ashfield will continue to receive support through the Covid Winter Grant Scheme, as the Government announces that it is extending its current arrangement to April.

The Covid Winter Grant Scheme has enabled local authorities in England to provide targeted extra support to families and individuals.

Ashfield MP Lee Anderson said: “I know many families in Ashfield & Eastwood have been hit particularly hard by the pandemic. That’s why I’m delighted that the vital support provided by the Covid Winter Grant Scheme is being extended.

“The extra £805,153 for Nottinghamshire families will help provide financial security as we continue on the roadmap out of lockdown.”
