Ashfield MP Lee Anderson has started to hold informal drop-in events for constituents to raise issues with him across the constituency.

He said he was eager that residents should not have to travel to see him if he can go to them.

One meeting was held at the Asda store cafe in Sutton, where he is pictured with manager Richard Jackson.

Lee said: “I always say that the average person on the street knows their area better than anyone else; they often have the answers to problems the neighbourhood has.

“This is one of the reasons I like to do events like this. Everyone has a view about their area and I want to hear it. I intend to do drop-ins like this throughout the constituency.”
