The Great Nottingham Christmas Toy Appeal is celebrating its 50th year.
It was taken on by Nick Clarke in 2018 after Family Care, a Nottingham-based charity, which had run the appeal, closed.
The appeal delivers toys to needy children and is asking for new toys for young children, and vouchers or toiletries for teenagers.
A spokesman said: “This year your help is needed more than ever due to the rising cost of living.”
St Peter’s Church, Ravenshead, is hosting a service to collect toys on 20th November.
However, volunteer Kathryn Lamb will collect donated items if required.
